Dynasty Market Movers is back for the 2022 season! This is the Dynasty Market Movers Report 1!
The goal is straightforward. I will highlight the risers and fallers on the always up-to-date dynasty rankings. With this insight, and leveraging PlayerProfiler’s advanced stats and metrics, dynasty managers can look to gain a competitive edge by knowing which players to be “bearish” and “bullish” on.
Report 1 brings plenty of movement in the dynasty landscape as we recalibrate off-season expectations. Let’s dig into the market movement for the first two weeks of the season.
Stock Trending Up
Jared Goff – QB Detroit Lions
Heading into Week 3, the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs sit tied for second in the NFL at 35.5 points per game. They trail the top-ranked Bills offense by a half point. Leading the improved Lions, Jared Goff has completed 41 of 71 pass attempts for 471 yards (No. 17) and six touchdowns (No. 5).
Goff has an Accuracy Rating of 8.0 (No. 7) with 4 Money Throws (No. 9), but this is offset by Top 10 marks in Danger Plays (7, No. 10) and Interceptable Passes (6, No. 8). He has a below-average True Completion Percentage of 66.1-percent (No. 21), which factors out the Lions’ 9 dropped passes (No. 2). Goff’s dynasty stock gains 18.86 Lifetime Value points and 10 spots to QB20. The exploitable passing defenses of the Vikings and Seahawks are next on the schedule making him a viable QB2 in Superflex or 2QB leagues.
Miles Sanders – RB Philadelphia Eagles
It only took Miles Sanders one week to surpass his 2021 touchdown total. Earning a 61.4-percent Opportunity Share (No. 16), Sanders has 30 carries (No. 30) and five targets (No. 33) this season. He’s turned this into 176 rushing yards (No. 7), one touchdown, and five catches for 15 yards (No. 47).

Enjoying a +6.69 (No. 3) Game Script in the Eagles’ high-powered offense, Sanders has produced consecutive RB2 weeks to start 2022 (RB13 in Week 1, RB18 in Week 2). Sanders will undoubtedly share rush attempts with Jalen Hurts, Kenneth Gainwell, and Boston Scott, but he has led the RB room in carries through two weeks. His dynasty stock gains 28.48 Lifetime Value points to climb 13 spots to RB24. Dynasty managers should be open to exploring sell opportunities.
Curtis Samuel – WR Washington Commanders
Hampered by groin and hamstring injuries throughout 2021, Curtis Samuel‘s dynasty stock was at rock bottom heading into the preseason. Forgotten by many in fantasy football, we shouldn’t be surprised. In 2020, Samuel finished as a Top 24 fantasy wideout seven times.
Curtis Samuel averaged 11.2 PPG in 2019 and 13.8 PPG in 2020. He signed a big FA deal to come to Washington and reunite with Ron Rivera. This is HIS GUY.

After two games, Samuel has 15 receptions (No. 5) on 20 targets (No. 14) for 133 yards (No. 23) and two TDs (No. 7). Working out of the slot on 53-percent of snaps, Samuel has 75 Yards After Catch (No. 11). This has translated to 21.1 (No. 9) fantasy points per game. The Commanders’ current target leader and co-receiving leader gains a massive 49.41 Lifetime Value points to climb 25 spots to WR46. Welcome back, Curtis.
Gerald Everett – TE Los Angeles Chargers
Gerald Everett is the TE4 on a points-per-game basis through two weeks. The veteran tight end is being deployed on 63.6-percent of snaps, managing 14 targets (No. 8) for an 18.4-percent Target Share in the Chargers’ potent offense.
Everett has produced nine receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown. This is a career-best start. The uber-athletic TE has 73 Yards After Catch (No. 2). Gaining a position-best 22.56 Lifetime Value and 13 spots, Everett moves up to TE15.
More notable players with stocks trending up:
Carson Wentz – QB Washington Commanders: +18.06 Lifetime Value points and +11 spots to QB21
Saquon Barkley – RB New York Giants: +44.99 Lifetime Value points and +5 spots to RB4
Amon-Ra St. Brown – WR Detriot Lions: +50.65 Lifetime Value points and +20 spots to WR13
Juwan Johnson – TE New Orleans Saints: +11.93 Lifetime Value points and +34 spots to TE22
Stock Trending Down
Justin Fields – QB Chicago Bears
In two games, Justin Fields has a total of 28 pass attempts (No. 33). To put this into perspective, 26 quarterbacks surpassed this total in Week 2 alone. Despite a -6.16 (No. 28) Game Script, the sophomore signal-caller has accumulated 191 passing yards (No. 32) and is averaging a mere 12.2 fantasy points per game (No. 24).
On the season, Fields has an Accuracy Rating of 6.3 (No. 32) and a True Passer Rating of 42.3-percent (No. 32). Luckily, he has recorded 48 rushing yards (No. 9) and a score on the ground. The former Ohio State Buckeye drops 14.99 Lifetime Value points and three spots to land at QB16 on PlayerProfiler’s dynasty rankings.
Cam Akers – RB Los Angeles Rams
Cam Akers delivered a fantasy goose egg in Week 1. This is not exactly what fantasy gamers had wished for. In the season opener, backfield-mate Darrell Henderson dominated the workload 13 carries to three carries. The usage and lack of production has sent Akers’ dynasty value into a downward spiral. The Snap Share distribution was more even in Week 2, but still favored Henderson 54.7 to 42.2-percent. Akers produced 62 scoreless yards (8.2 fantasy points in Week 2, No. 31) and out-touched Henderson.
cam akers, not dead.

Regardless of workload, Henderson has been the more productive and efficient RB to date. He has a True Yards Per Carry rate of 4.0 (No. 35), compared to Akers’ rate of 2.4. Akers’ dynasty value has lost a whopping 70.71 Lifetime Value points since the start of the season to slip 12 spots to RB20. However, he’s not dead yet (and Henderson isn’t the most durable), so those who believe in the Florida State talent may want to buy the dip.
CeeDee Lamb – WR Dallas Cowboys
CeeDee Lamb has earned 11 targets in each of the first two games this season. His 31.0-percent (No. 10) Target Share is elite, and he has seen the field on 95.9-percent of snaps (No. 8). The metrics are positive, but the production isn’t there. Lamb has just nine catches on 22 targets (No. 8) for 104 scoreless receiving yards (No. 40). He has averaged 10.0 fantasy points per game (WR47). This is not what dynasty managers expect from a player assumed to be a high-end WR1.
Lamb’s fantasy WR1 campaign may be on ice. Dak Prescott, who wasn’t particularly impressive in Week 1, will be out for several weeks. Not surprising, Lamb is staring down a Catachable Target Rate of 59.1-percent (No. 81) and isn’t necessarily surrounded by imposing receiving weapons to take defensive heat off of him – at least not until Michael Gallup returns. The former 17th overall selection drops 49.76 Lifetime Value points to slide three spots to WR6.
Cole Kmet – TE Chicago Bears
Hopes were high for Cole Kmet coming into the 2022 season. Touted as a potential volume play on a weak Bears team. Instead, the third-year TE has earned two targets this season. The only positive aspect for Kmet is an 82.5-percent Snap Share and an 82.1-percent Route Participation rate.
Some will blame the monsoon-like conditions in Week 1, however Da Bears’ offense actually attempted fewer passing plays in Week 2. Here’s hoping for better days for Kmet, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to improve on zero, right? Until then, he loses 7.45 Lifetime Value points to fall to TE14.
More notable players with stocks trending down:
Trey Lance – QB San Francisco 49ers: -36.79 Lifetime Value points and -9 spots to QB18
Rhamondre Stevenson – RB New England Patriots: -27.14 Lifetime Value points and -7 spots to RB33
