With football season (finally) around the corner, everyone is wading through an endless amount of fantasy research and opinions to get an edge for 2019. Whether it’s figuring out which situations and players they like, who to draft at value, who to avoid, and which teams will regress and impress (I’d recommend Warren Sharp’s 2019 Preview for this), it’s been tough to get an advantage as the average fantasy football players has gotten significantly smarter.
One way to get an advantage is to imagine how the 2019 season will play out, independent of fantasy rankings and ADP, and think about which players and teams will begin to breakout or breakdown. Most people won’t see the emergence of the Rams or rise of Davante Adams until it smacks them in the face, but thinking through the season for yourself and getting a little bold and adventurous with outlier predictions can be the difference between missing the playoffs and a fantasy championship.
During this year, the Podfather has been asking your favorite fantasy football analysts to undergo this thought experiment to bring the hottest fantasy takes and allow you to read tomorrow’s news today, but please be warned, these takes are not for the faint of heart. These are not just bold predictions, they are not even very bold predictions, these are the boldest of the BOLD, the very, very, very, VERY, VERY, VERY bold predictions for 2019.
