The worst part of our beloved game is the frequency of injuries. It’s an unfortunate byproduct of such a fast-paced, contact-heavy sport. It’s something that is important to remember as we approach the first full week of the preseason. Luckily for the NFL players, they have access to some of the best doctors in the world and can usually return to form at least by the next season. Unfortunately for us fantasy players, it’s not always easy to know when a player will get hurt. To another degree, sometimes your roster isn’t big enough to plan ahead for an injury. This series, the Infirmary Report, will give you advice on the injuries that have happened every week during the season. Without further ado, here is the Infirmary Report: Post Week 9 of regular season action.

Josh Allen, QB, Bills

Injury: Allen picked up an elbow injury in the loss to the Jets.
Expected Return: He is Questionable for Week 10.
Key Takeaway:
Josh Allen will more than likely be out there in Week 10, but an elbow injury can and will affect the passing game. This injury must be monitored over the week. If this turns out to be serious then Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis will take a hit on their value.
Chris Evans, RB, Bengals
Bengals RB Chris Evans is out with a right knee injury.

Injury: Evans injured his knee in Sunday’s win over the Panthers.
Expected Return: The severity and timeline are unknown, but it’s likely season-ending.
Key Takeaway:
Bengals’ 3rd string RB Chris Evans will more than likely miss the rest of the season with his knee injury. The biggest fantasy implication would be that Samaje Perine MUST be rostered. Joe Mixon just went off for five TDs. That’s the kind of upside the Bengals RB holds. If Mixon were to get hurt, Perine would be an immediate RB2 with RB1 upside.
Craig Reynolds, RB, Lions

Injury: Reynolds was ruled out on Sunday with a ribs injury.
Expected Return: He is currently Questionable for Week 10.
Key Takeaway:
D’Andre Swift has begun to return so Reynolds’s value had begun to fade anyway. Now he’s battling a rib injury. He could potentially play in Week 10, but his volume will be extremely limited. With Swift back, he wouldn’t have seen too much opportunity anyway. This just makes Jamaal Williams slightly more valuable.
Aaron Jones, RB, Packers
Tests on Packers’ RB Aaron Jones’ ankle today came back negative and, according to a source, “(Jones) should be able to play this week.”

Injury: Jones picked up an ankle injury on Sunday.
Expected Return: He should be good to go for Week 10.
Key Takeaway:
Since the injury “isn’t serious,” Aaron Jones will be playing Week 10. But, it’s an excellent time to still buy low on A.J. Dillon. Dillon’s owners are extremely disappointed with his returns, and, since Jones won’t be inactive, his value probably won’t even rise. Go try to get him if you can as there is a small chance Jones makes his ankle injury even worse.

Injury: Doubs is battling an ankle injury.
Expected Return: The timeline and severity are still unknown, but he was seen in a boot and crutches. Therefore, you’ve got to imagine it will be at least a couple of weeks.

The Packers are just dust. No one can stay healthy, and Aaron Rodgers is clearly struggling. Now coming off a loss to the Lions, the future looks bleak. It’s *checks notes* Allen Lazard and Sammy Watkins season in Green Bay. How…exciting.
Christian Watson, WR, Packers
Nobody's talking about it after today's dumpster fire of a game, but Christian Watson has had two concussions in two weeks and that's really bad.

Expected Return: He is currently Questionable for Week 10, but this could be an extended absence due to the nature of concussions.

This just sucks. Christian Watson is such a promising prospect and he just can’t stay healthy. He has been widely touted as a project who needs time to develop.
